Anglia TV news footage of Mary the Princess Royal as guest of honour to open a new Y.M.C.A. Hostel "Wilbury" in Ipswich.

Mary, Princess Royal and Countess of Harewood gets out of a car and is greeted by the Earl of Stradbrooke and the Mayor of Ipswich. In the background are members of the public waiting to catch a glimpse of the royal family member who is to open a new extension to a YMCA Hostel. Close up of a sign on a wall that reads “Y.M.C.A. Hostel, Wilbury”. Inside the hostel the Princess and party are shown the new kitchen and dining hall. Outside, watched by guests, the Princess Royal opens the new building by cutting a ribbon. In the town centre, crowds have gathered to see the Princess. The Princess gets out of a car and waves to the waiting public.
