Out at sea, in particularly choppy waters, a Sheringham lifeboat comes to the rescue of a small yacht, towing the boat and passengers to safety. A variety of sailing boats are passed on the journey back to land. A number of spectators stand at the promenade. The lifeboat's skipper shakes hands, in turn, with each rescued seaman.
