Footage of the training of gun dogs in the countryside
Dogs bark behind wire fencing. They are allowed out and run towards the camera boisterously. Two men lead them through the woods and into a field. The men get on bicycles and cycle down a tractor path with the dogs running around them. One man, carrying a bag over his shoulder, begins training the dogs one by one, walking further away each time he does so. General views of the dogs sitting in the grass, then jumping over a fence. He continues to teach them by the river. The other man gets a dummy rabbit out of the bag and places it in the grass. The other man shoots whilst a dog waits patiently besides him. He trains it to collect the rabbit. He continues this with another dog which wades across the water to retrieve the animal. He throws an object into a rabbit enclosure, and a dog goes and collects it. The dogs are allowed out of the back of the van for food. Close up of dogs eating food.
