Unusual building with planning permission for offices and a penthouse flat.
Exterior views of the former water tower at 35 High Street, Epping which is for sale. The interior of the 90 foot tower is in poor condition as the first floor recently collapsed and the six floors above are also decaying. Scenes of the ground floor interior. The tower was purchased by London property developers SMC in 1986 and the proposed plan is for three floors of office space with a flat above. Auctioneer Clive Carpenter is interviewed about prospects for the listed building. He is confident that an architect will see the potential of the site and guesses that the tower might sell for £175,000. More scenes of the exterior from across the road. The reporter was Surrey Beddows for this video made to be shown in a news story on Anglia Television early evening news / magazine programme About Anglia.
