Nirex Executives Have Been In The Village Of Bradwell Outlining Their Plans To Investigate Dumping Radioactive Waste There

If found suitable they would plan to use about 200 acres for disposal of low level and intermediate level radioactive waste. Interviewed, he says that Nirex’s safety record is unrivalled and no one has been killed by radioactivity in 30 years. Challenged on the perception of a lack of consultation, he states that Nirex planned to announce the four sites to be surveyed on 25 February, so the consultation is now beginning and the leak of information ahead of the announcement was unfortunate. The reporter says she has met no one yet in favour of the plan, and he replies that the Nirex proposal should be given a fair hearing, and the case in favour should be easy to understand.
