Vaccination of school pupils during a local outbreak of meningitis.
A school pupil is given an injection as part of a programme of mass vaccination ordered by health chiefs after four teenage boys at the Market Deeping secondary school came down with the C strain of meningitis over the half term break. Children queue at the registration desk at the Market Deeping health centre. More scenes of children receiving their vaccinations and health staff preparing syringes. The vaccine has been flown in from France. A coach arrives as children gather ready to board for the journey between the Deepings School and health centre. The reporter says that last week all 4th form pupils were given antibiotics as a precautionary measure. The four boys are still in hospital but out of danger. The reporter was Greg Barnes for this video made to be shown in a news story on Anglia Television early evening news / magazine programme About Anglia.
