Aerobics class warms up for a giant exercise event.

A group of women in leotards and tights mirror the bouncing aerobic movements of the male instructor at the Town End fitness centre in Braintree, Essex. They are exercising on a badminton court but the ambition for the weekend is a charity event to break the indoor keep-fit record of 2,200 people exercising set in 1983 in the USA. Instructor Adrian Godden is inspired by the idea of that many people enjoying themselves, whether they achieve the record or not. Their next goal is to attempt the outdoor record of 100,000 people. The reporter was Alastair Yates for this video made to be shown in a news story on Anglia Television early evening news / magazine programme About Anglia.
