Multi-million pound development and road scheme may affect the football stadium.
Scenes of the Carrow Road area of Norwich Riverside, Norfolk which is subject to a large-scale planning application for redevelopment from 1992 onwards. Views of the medieval Devil’s Tower (Eastern Boom Tower) and Carrow Bridge with traffic crossing the river. Exterior views of Carrow Road football stadium of Norwich City Football Club and views across the empty football pitch. Anglia TV reporter Alastair Yates says the future of the football ground is in question as there are planning proposals which would have an impact on the site, including a new inner ring road which could not be closed on match days like the current road. The Football Club chairman Robert Chase is also a member of the Planning and Transportation Committee. He will not be making a statement until a meeting has been held with club shareholders. This short video was made to be shown in a news story on Anglia Television early evening news / magazine programme About Anglia.
