Wheechair user Anthony Chapman of RSPB opens new hide.

Visitors approach a new birdwatching hide beside Grafham Water including Anthony Chapman, wheelchair user, who will perform the opening ceremony. Mr Chapman works as Reserves Officer for the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds and is a keen birdwatcher. The party enter the hide and a ramp provides access for Mr Chapman, who also demonstrates that the windows can be easily reached from a wheelchair. He says that this hide is one of the best he has ever seen, and that an approach path will be completed shortly. Birds are seen on the reservoir. The reporter was Owen Spencer-Thomas for this video made to be shown in a news story on Anglia Television early evening news / magazine programme About Anglia.

Anthony Chapman is author of RSPB Where to Go Birdwatching: A Guide to RSPB Nature Reserves, 1989 published in conjunction with the BBC TV Great British Birdwatch.
