Scenes before and during an American football match at a US air base.

In front of the stadium audience, two teams perform organised displays of exercises, stretches and team bonding ahead of an American football match. There is some music played over the stadium loudspeakers. In the changing room a player puts on padding and protective clothing including a mouthpiece. Bob Smith, trainer with Alconbury Spartans, talks about the finger and wrist bindings, shoulder pads and helmets. Scenes of play during the match and the spectators watching. Terry Simpson, coach with Alconbury Spartans, says the game is fairly complicated but the basic premise is a bit like rugby with different ways of scoring points and a lot of rules. Anglia TV reporter Tony Jones comments that a lot of the play is pre-planned. The players huddle and cheerleaders wave pompoms. More scenes of the match play. This short video was made to be shown in a news story on Anglia Television early evening news / magazine programme About Anglia.
