Flooding at Reedham in 1993.
This film shows shots of the River Yare and of Reedham during the floods of 1993. It begins with shots of the river and the swing bridge, first from Holly Farm Road and then from Quay Terrace. One of these shots shows a 'Private No Parking' sign with no indication of how anything could have parked there apart from a rowing boat. A close-up shot shows the water level near the top of the fence at the Quayside and another shows the river coming up the bank as far as the benches. The next sequence shows sandbags outside doors on Quay terrace with the river creeping across the path. There are further shots of Reedham and then a shot showing debris from the flood at Quay Terrace. A telephone box is seen standing in water with a boat parked nearby. Scenes of the flooded streets with a man out walking. Sandersons Marine Craft is in the background. There are further flood scenes before scenes showing more sandbags around Reedham including outside the post office and holding down a wheelie bin. The film ends with further scenes of the river and the village.
