The expansion of Norwich Power station and a look at the finished station.
The first shots of this film show the top half of the Turbine H.P. Cylinder. being lowered in to place. The Alternator Stator is unloaded and placed in position. The next shots show the alternator rotor being threaded by a team of workmen. The alternator rotor is synchronised for the first time. The final scenes of this sequence show a tour of the finished plant. This includes overhead shots of machinery. Outside shots show the overhead transport equipment. There is a tug on the river by the power station and a shot of the control room. The final scenes are overhead shots of a tour party.The final scenes show a fire fighting demonstration at Messrs Mather and Platt's works
