Scenes of a motor cycle race and from a garage in Elm.
The first part of this film shows motor cycles, several cars and vans collected by a racing track. There are many spectators present. One of the vans is owned by the Anglo-American Oil Co. Scenes of races include those for motor cycles and side cars and racing cars. Motor cycles are filmed at the start line and there are scenes of the race visible through a cloud of dust. A few frames show a shot of a road before a new film of different picture quality shows more motor cycle races. The film shows the start of two races. The crowd gathers on the bank in the background. There are scenes of a motor cycle race and of a race involving motor cycles and side cars. There are scenes showing the competitors and their families after the race. These include a young boy sitting astride a motor cycle. (2:55 secs) After a short gap, another film shows scenes from a garage business in Elm, Norfolk. There is a shot of a lorry by the side of the road from a business based in Elm. Another shot shows a man in overalls and a woman outside their house. Cars are parked in front of the house. The rest of the film shows scenes from the garage business. There are several motor cycles stored in the garage. A car is on a ramp being serviced by the garage owner/mechanic. There are shots of a goods tram running on the Wisbech to Upwell tram line that ran alongside the road before the film conclude with further interior shots of the garage. (1:25 secs)
