A football match, with difference, played between teams from the universities of Oxford and Cambridge as part of the University of Cambridge' student rag week.

Newsreel showing a stunt from the Cambridge University Students' Rag Week, 1946. The competitors, several of the spectators and the band are all dressed in an approximation of late Victorian costume, complete with copious whiskers. They gather around the town centre and around the colleges. A band marches through the town. The commentary speaks of meeting the opposition fifteen - whether this is a mistake or part of the stunt is unsure. At Parker's Piece, where the match is to be played, a band plays. The teams take to the field and pose for the cameraman, who has a box brownie. The match is very different. There are three balls used, all of different colours. The commentary explains that, anyone heading the ball without first removing his hat is severely frowned upon by the referee. The second part of the game is played at walking pace. The final score is Cambridge 6 Oxford 3.
