The Bishop of Chelmsford dedicating the Church of St. John at Becontree.
A parade of Boy Scouts, Girl Guides and clergy from some sheds to the Church of St. John, Becontree. The estate is visible in the background. In his speech outside the Church, the Bishop recalls a speech made by the Prince of Wales calling on all people to unit and destroy the unsanitary conditions in which people lived. The Bishop relates this to Becontree. There are some shots of the crowd. The Clergy enter the Church.
