Documentary on the highly skilled labour employed in the restoration of Wymondham Abbey, showing the repair and replacing of flints, window frames and the re-leading of the roof.
A record of the restoration of Wymondham Abbey with views of workmen laying flints on the tower. The Reverend J.G. Tansley Thomas also lays flints. There are close-ups of damage to various parts of the structure. A sequence shows the roof being re-leaded, and there are scenes of the town and individual houses filmed from the tower. Norwich stonemasons, A.J. Woods and Son, bring new masonry to the Abbey including window frames.
