Amateur footage of villages, country estates and historic sites along the picturesque River Nar.

This local amateur record centres on The River Nar, its valley and the villages from Litcham to Narborough. Sequences, in order, include: Poultry rearing and game keeping on the East Lexham estate; a shoot is held on a snowy morning. Litcham main street and H E Read's harness shop, where are man is at work. East Lexham Hall and its gardens, East Lexham village and church, and West Lexham church, also a smaller country house and garden. Views of the disused mill at Newton, and the river near Newton church. Castle Acre includes Bailey Street and Stock's Green, the ruins of the castle and abbey and a reconstruction of its past glory. Going towards Westacre, fishing along the Nar, then the village of Westacre and nearby gravel pits. The film ends at Narborough with shots of the mill, the Ship Inn and the old maltings.
