Ted Ellis

1962 , Mulbarton (Norfolk)

Norfolk naturalist and broadcaster, Ted Ellis demonstrates how to collect pond life.

At the Mulbarton village pond Ted Ellis walks towards the edge of the water, net in hand ready for dipping. The camera follows the naturalist's point of view, surveying the surface of the pond and its vegetation. Two frogs are mating amongst the plants. Ted wades into the pond to catch specimens. A glass jar is at hand to collect the contents of the net; a close-up shows the variety of pond life captured.
