A newsreel item about the innovative use of radio in the railway marshalling yard at Whitemoor.
Men are at work in the signal box, and a train driver is in his cab. One of the signalmen gives an instruction by radio. This is received by the driver. Detonators are placed on the track as a warning against fog. Finally goods wagons are shunted in the marshalling yard, the largest in Britain at the time.
