A documentary by local film maker, John Buxton for the RSPB, and of particular interest to ornithologists. The film complements the related seasonal record, 'Broadland Winter'.

A wildlife documentary concentrating on the birdlife found on the Norfolk broads around Ranworth, Hickling and Horsey. There are also scenes of a marshman cutting sedge, Horsey drainage windpump, birdwatchers and observation hides. Cars and boats at Potter Heigham and Wroxham point to the potential damage to wildlife by day trippers and their litter. Birds featured include: marsh harrier, mallard, crows, heron, bearded tit, redshank, dunlin, ringed plover, lapwing, a skylark and chicks, snipe, wood sandpiper, short-eared owl, yellow wagtail, bittern, cuckoo, sedge and reed warblers, whitethroat, reed bunting, coot, great crested grebe, mute swans with their young, partridges. There are also shots of swallowtail butterflies, marsh plants and caterpillars.
