A newsreel item looking at the revival of the English lavender industry.

Women workers are harvesting the lavender and collecting it into sacks. They are paid in tokens according to the amount they have collected during the day. At the distilling plant, men fill and empty the vats. Fifteen years previously the English lavender industry had been threatened because perfumes were being made to a formula that required French lavender. A new formula was found and now the English lavender industry is thriving. Distilled lavender water is shown in a beaker.
