Mounted Police demonstrating their skills
This Pathe Gazette shows men on horseback, dressed in a popular perception of Arab robes, race along with lances picking up tent pegs. One member knocks his peg into the ground and a horseman rides up with his lance and rushes past, picking up the peg, before the man can complete the task. This sequence appears to have been filmed outside the Royal Wanstead School. The second sequence shows London policemen during their 32 mile walking race from Barking to Southend.
