The Sixteenth Rowcrop Competition held by the Norfolk Farm Machinery Club at Hindringham in 1962.

A Wolseley car arrives at the site. We see a shot of the poster advertising the competition and a shot of the car park. Throughout the film there are shots of the farmers and competitors standing around in groups. There is a shot of the crops drilled ready for work. We see mechanical thinners at work, including the Ogle Gapper and the Catchpole Joice. A band sprayer is demonstrated to the camera by the film maker who appears in shot. Most of the film shows various tractor-mounted hoes and several of these are demonstrated. There is a competition for singling by hand. There are shots of the men chopping out and a shot of the winning hoe man receiving his prize. Five days later J.E. Cleveland, the Secretary of the Norfolk Farm Machinery Club inspected the crop.
