Amateur record of a holiday at Hemsby Holiday Camp shot in the mid-1930s.

The film opens with a glimpse of the lift ascending the Blackpool Tower. The Norfolk holiday sequence begins a man closing his suitcase with the initials AJD on the lid and a label inscribed 'To Hemsby Holiday Camp, Norfolk'. The journey begins with shots through a railway carriage window of Saltash Station, Cornwall. There are views of the Royal Albert Bridge as the train leaves the station. To indicate the journey, the names of the counties through which the train pass are rolled through, like a train destination roll. Cornwall ... Devonshire ... Somersetshire ... Wiltshire ... Berkshire ... Buckinghamshire ... Middlesex ... London ... Essex ... Suffolk ... Norfolk. Finally the train pulls into Hemsby Station. There is a shot of the signal box and of a train pulling up shot from the platform. At the holiday camp, we see the sign and then the chalets. Some cars are parked in front. People watch and then follow a carload of musicians including an accordianist. On the beach there is a beauty contest and keep-fit exercises. There are races, some serious running races and some more light hearted. There is an obstacle course and men bob for apples or something similar, and get covered in flour. The film ends with shots of the putting green.
