Beyond the beautiful park at Sheringham. To Blickling Hall, once the residence of Anne Boleyn, and one of the finest examples of Jacobean architecture existing - Where is there a woman who does not like the scent of flowers, the attraction of a lovely garden? And there are few examples to equal Blickling. Old Churches and old Abbeys have their appeal too, to most of us. But memories of Blickling impressed on our minds are those of the wonderful gardens - the slow growth of centuries.

Background Information
In 1912, Pathe established a factory in Paris to produced Pathe, or Stencil Colour. Films were shot in the normal manner and the black and white prints were sent to the factory for colouring. Girls working pantograph type apparatus would trace round the parts to be coloured in each frame, doing one colour at a time. The pantograph cut out the holes in the blank film, corresponding to the area to be coloured. Another blank film was cut for the second colour and so on. The stencils were laid on black and white prints in turn and the colour pushed through. Usually the subjects for this work were fairly static subjects, like that shot at Blickling Hall.
