Princess Margaret visits Norwich and opens the orthopaedic theatre at the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital.
It records the visit of Princess Margaret to Norwich during June 1952, whilst on a tour of hospitals in the region. HRH descends the steps of the City Hall with W.E. Walker, the Lord Mayor of Norwich and they drive through cheering crowds in the Walk. At the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital she is presented with a bouquet of flowers by Michael Lloyd Owen, aged three. She visits patients on a ward and then opens the orthopaedic theatre. She also has her hand x-rayed.
