Princess Elizabeth visits Norwich, where crowds have gathered.

HRH Princess Elizabeth arrives at the City Hall by car. She is greeted by Eric Hinde, the Lord Mayor of Norwich and ascends the steps. She declares the Festival Of Britain open from the balcony. There are long shots of the market place from the balcony and of the balcony from the market place. She is driven through the cheering crowds to the Cathedral where she is greeted by the Bishop of Norwich, the Rt. Rev. Percy Herbert. They enter the Cathedral. Later the Princess visits a silk mill and a shoe factory. There are interior views of both, with scenes of the workers displaying their skills.
