The thirteenth centenary celebrations at Norwich Cathedral

The film shows two shots both panning the long procession of clergy spanning the Erpingham Gate and the West Door of the Cathedral. Traffic can be seen on Tombland through the Erpingham Gate. Crowds of people watch the procession. At the end, a clergyman enters alone, preceded by two clergymen, one carrying a cross and with two page boys carrying his robes.

Background Information

The Bishop of Norwich at this time was the Rt. Rev. Bertram Pollock. The clergyman entering alone may have been the Archbishop of Canterbury. Also present were the Bishop of Ely and the Bishop of St. Edmundsbury and Ipswich.
