A home movie, featuring various members of the Boardman family, local sights as well as a trip on the Broads.
Humphrey Boardman's family film begins with a lengthy sequence that films a toddler in her garden. These scenes are shot on two or three occasions. Some scenes show the little girl with her mother or father and some show her with some friends. The family dog came also be seen running about. The film cuts to a few scenes of a power boat racing on the river. There is a close up of the oat and the film returns to the garden. This section finishes with a shot of a car on the road and a close-up shot of a woman driving it. The next sequence is scenes from Queen Street, Norwich. There are also shots of the Cathedral taken over rooftops.The final sequence shows the Boardman family sailing aboard the pleasure wherry, 'Hathor'. The crew set sail and move off. There are shots of the wherry sailing in the Broads. The family are in the bow and the crew in the stern. The sail lowered and a man quanting.

Background Information
The Boardman family were architects. Their offices were on Queen Street. The shots of the Cathedral may have been taken from their the windows of their offices. They were related to the Boardman family of How Hill. The Hathor was built by Daniel Hall at Reedham for Ethel and Helen Colman in 1905. It was launched at Reedham in July of that year. The visitors book for records the visits of Frederick Duleepsingh, David Lloyd George (whilst Chancellor of the Exchequer) with his wife, Margaret, and daughter, Megan, H. Rider Haggard, Henry Wood and Clarice Elgar. The Hathor was presented to Mr. Claude Hamilton in 1953 to replace the wherry he lost in the floods of 1953.
