Boys take part in a course involving abseiling, orienteering, camping and canoeing.

The first sequence shows some of the activities during the endeavour course. The boys are shown canoeing and then inside a hall at Holt Hall they learn about first aid and artificial resuscitation. In Thetford Forest, they test an assault course, which they helped to build. They also learn climbing techniques, including abseiling. They erect a tent, prepare meals and clean equipment. They have a map reading lesson in preparation for a night time exercise.The second part of the film covers the boys on a four day excursion to West Norfolk. They leave in a mini-bus and we see them trekking, making camp at Santon Downham and sitting around the camp fire. There main activity is canoeing at Brandon Creek and at Denver Sluice. Here they have to carry their canoes around the sluice gate. They arrive in their canoes near Kings Lynn. The canoes are loaded onto the trailer. At a dormitory in Kings Lynn, the boys clean up and receive their certificates.
