The film begins with shots of young people about to take communion. At a dance Roger meets Derek who persuades him to go to the 59 Club in Paddington. This is an unusual club that you visit in the daylight; where everyone is dressed as rockers but drink tea, play table tennis and listen to the juke box. There are shots of Derek and Roger speeding along the roads on the way to London and some brief London street scenes before they enter the club. At the 59 Club they meet Father Bill Shergold, the founder, wearing a leather jacket and smoking a pipe. Roger returns to Chelmsford alone, helping a fellow biker, who has had a breakdown, on the way. This new friend takes Roger to a Venture Scout meeting at Danbury Park, Chelmsford. The Scouts go on a camp. There follows a lengthy sequence shot in Wales, identified by the Menai Bridge and the village sign (in full) of Llanfair PG. The friends go rock climbing. There are some shots of the north Wales countryside. The film ends with prayers in church.
