The film begins with an exterior shot of Rogerson Hall, a 1930s building. There are shots of the campers strolling in the gardens and scenes from the lounge. A father a daughter feature, showing the little girl playing with a gollywog and a teddy. Men and women are sitting at desks writing and drawing. We see the outside of a chalet and an interior shot where a woman gets out of bed, draws the curtains and combs her hair looking in the mirror. Outside fellow campers are collecting water from communal taps. The kitchen and dining areas are shown.
