Scenes from the 1931 Barking Pageant.
The film begins with shots of people entering a decorated building advertising the Barking Industrial Exhibition. There are shots of the decorations and then of the street procession. There is a man with two small girls leading a pony. Most of the floats are horse drawn, although there is a bicycle float. There are participants on roller skates. Although it is difficult to read the banners it appears that these are from the from the Ham Rink, Sheffield Street, East Ham. A car with Harry Tate on the side passes followed by walkers in fancy dress. Prince George passes in a closed Rolls Royce and in the darkness is seen only in shadow.
