The visit of the Prince of Wales to open Haven Bridge, 21st October 1930.
The opening shots show the Prince's motorcade arriving at South Quay. The Prince of Wales meets the Mayor (known as 'Cash' Belvoir,) and other dignitaries. They are seen shaking hands from both long distance and close-up angles. The Prince boards a steam drifter and watches the catch being hauled up. Crowds are shown on the quay and on drifters as the Prince moves across the Quay. Some people are even standing on a pile of fish barrels. The Prince watches fisher girls gut herring. A long shot shows the dense crowd on the South quay as the Prince inspects the guard of honour. The Prince cuts the tape on the bridge. The bridge is lowered and the Prince and the official party walk across. People stand on the roof of a lorry to see the Prince, some sit on the roof of a house.
