The Belle steamer arriving at Southwold pier.
The film is very short and consists of two shots taken from a single camera position. It shows one of the East Coast, Belle steamers arriving at the end of Southwold pier laden with passengers. The first is a long shot, the second closer in.

Southwold pier was opened in 1900. The Belle steamers operated along the East Coast from London to Yarmouth and called at Southend, Walton-on-the-Naze, Clacton, Felixstowe, Southwold and Lowestoft. In 1936, the return fare to London was 9/6
