Princess Margaret visits the University of Essex, 1968

The first shots are taken from outside shooting through a window. Princess Margaret is touring the University accompanied by the Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Albert Sloman, and Mrs. Sloman. There are exterior shots showing Princess Margaret looking round in the rain. There are scenes of the building of the Social Studies Building and a view of the Lecture Block under construction. These are contrasted with completed buildings to show what the finished product will look like. HRH Princess Margaret's car is shown leaving the University.A second sequence shows a sunny day with people outside the bar and around the Fountain. There is a shot of the University of Essex Library and some shots of makeshift buildings. There are interior shots of what appears to be the Porters' Lodge as well as students studying the noticeboard.
