BBC Look East report on Ipswich Town Football Club winning the UEFA Cup against AZ '67 from the Netherlands at the Olympic Stadium in Amsterdam. Interview with Ipswich Town football player John Wark who is now Europe's top marksman.

Camera pans over the Olympic stadium in Amsterdam with spectators sitting in the stand and then a shot of the UEFA football match between Ipswich Town and AZ ’67 of the Netherlands. Shot of a nearly empty stand with an Amsterdam flag as the commentator states that the Dutch fans were thin on the ground, but Ipswich supporters had turned up in big numbers. Shot of the crowd of Ipswich Town fans holding banners and chanting. The commentator states that the Ipswich fans didn’t have to wait long for their first great moment as they had a victory on the final whistle. He claims that suddenly the pitch was invaded as everyone wanted to join those victory celebrations. Shot of the football players celebrating on the pitch. Close up of two players hugging. Close up of John Wark doing the thumbs up to the crowd as the commentator states that he has equalled the record of 14 goals and so is now Europe’s top marksman. The interviewer John Myatt congratulates him on the pitch and asks him if he were ever worried. John Wark replies that there were times that he was worried but that he thinks they deserved to win something this year. The reporter interviews another footballer on the pitch. The players walk through the crowd holding bouquets of flowers. The players run off the pitch as the crowd chants. The commentator explains how the players tried to greet the Ipswich Town fans but they couldn’t get through the crowd. Interview with Bobby Robson, manager of Ipswich Town, who says that he is sorry they couldn’t parade the UEFA Cup over to the fans as they normally would but that they couldn’t as it was chaotic and dangerous. When asked if the victory will change his future plans, Bobby Robson replies that he doesn’t want to talk about himself as its Ipswich Town’s and the players' night. Shot of the team having their photographs taken and one of the players pouring champagne. Interview with Mick Mills, one of the Ipswich players, who discusses the match and says that they are really happy. The commentator states that this match has created a memory to cherish down the years.
