BBC Look East news footage of Needham Market's carnival parade.

Children dressed as American-style hobos and travelling musicians form part of the carnival parade at Needham Market on a rainy day. Other participants include the local Youth Club’s decorated truck carrying a large model aeroplane, and eggs are handed out to spectators lining the streets to throw at a man on a float, defending himself with a tennis racket. Fancy dress costumes include a veiled Egyptian dancer and Arabic sheikhs. This film was transmitted to accompany a BBC East news story as part of the regional news broadcast.
