Catching Fish by Electric Shocks

1960

BBC Look East news interview about the preservation of fish in a trout river.

Two fishermen use an electrical current to stun and catch fish from a trout river. They remove the coarse fish (which compete for food against the trout) and any pike (a predator of the trout). The man in charge of the operation explains the process of removing the fish to allow the trout to obtain a greater advantage of survival in the river.
