An impression of the pleasures of sea boating on a summer's day with music and no commentary.

The film opens with the signs for Clacton-on-Sea Sailing Club and Clacton Sea Angling Club. Boats are brought to the beach and prepared for the water, some towed behind cars, some dragged along by their crew. People watch from the beach and promenade and flags fly in the breeze. Mainly sailing boats for one or two people take to the water, with more sailing together as the film progresses. A crew member gone overboard climbs back into a boat. A large buoy is towed to shore and a rescue boat lies at the water’s edge. Windsurfing and sunbathing amid general scenes of people tending boats and enjoying a family afternoon on the beach. After sailing, the boats are towed away by car or dragged away down the lane away from the sea.
