Cat no. 218676
This informal record of a wedding opens with the exterior of St Joseph’s church, Epsom with children sitting on a wall, people passing by and a photographer recording the five bridesmaids. The bride arrives to enter the church. Then the newlyweds leave the church door followed by their guests and the professional and amateur photographers prepare their cameras. After the wedding car leaves, there are close-ups of the guests and clergyman. At the Woodcote Hotel, Epsom, the wedding party is filmed while posing for group photographs. Indoor scenes at the reception show guests eating and chatting, the cutting of the wedding cake, a speech and toast.
