A BBC East report on the intricate designs of Andrew Gilmour.

Despite being many miles away from the world of high fashion, an industrial workshop in the village of Chrishall houses the studio of Andrew Gilmour, who creates intricate designs which are transferred on to gowns created by the country's top designers. In an interview with the BBC correspondent, Gilmour discusses his working process, from original drawings through to hand-cut stencils or photographic silk-screens, which are fitted to print tables ready for spray-painting or screen-printing. The nature of this time-consuming process means that Gilmour's designs are quite expensive. Gilmour also discusses his commission to create thirty-six printed wooden panels for the Saudi Arabian Royal Family, each featuring a variation on Islamic-influenced, intricate designs. The report concludes with a model showing off one of Gilmour's latest creations, which is destined to sell for £300 in a leading London store.
