1960

Anglia Television report on the daily life of a female rag and bone merchant.

Exiting her modest semi-detached home, a rag and bone merchant waves to her children as she climbs into her flat-bed lorry to begin another day of work. Stopping at a vacant lot, she collects a pile of metal, including car body parts, and loads it onto the lorry. Travelling down a major road, she arrives at a scrap yard, where bags of rags are unloaded at the front, and scrap metal taken to the large scrap piles at the rear of the premises.
