The Animated Pillar Box
1907 , St Albans (Hertfordshire)
Cat no. 215244
A short by Hertfordshire film pioneer Arthur Melbourne-Cooper.
A man leads his accomplice, disguised as a post office pillar box, as they attempt to evade capture by police and postal workers. Despite a scuffle that leaves the postman's letters all over the pavement, the pair keep running until the man in the pillar box assumes a position on a quiet residential street and his friend continues his escape on foot.
