Amateur recording of the recreation of the Norwich to London mail run in its centenary year, with a stop at The Crown Inn at Pulham Market.

In 1977, a Norwich Union-sponsored mail coach recreated the Norwich to London mail run marking the centenary of the last run in 1877. Amateur filmmaker Pauline Webb captured on film the horse-drawn coach, when it made a stop at her local pub, The Crown Inn on Harleston Road in Pulham Market. An unusual sight, the coach passengers, all wearing Victorian period costume, stop for a glass of port. Meanwhile the children of the village get to climb aboard the carriage for a closer look.
