USAF Operations at RAF Mildenhall

BBC Look East reports on the new USAF arrivals at RAF Mildenhall.

The report begins as a USAF Boeing EC-135H aircraft lands at Mildenhall. Belonging to the 10th Airborne Command & Control Squadron, these aircraft perform constant operations in preparation for a possible nuclear attack, and allow the continuity and reconstitution of the US government in the event of a catastrophic attack on North America. A shot of the entrance to RAF Mildenhall, before a traveling shot arrives at one of the bases original RAF buildings, where a family enter the front door. Meanwhile, a TWA passenger plane lands at the airfield and soldiers and their families disembark to begin a new life at the Suffolk base.
