Anglia Television report on the construction of a nuclear power station in Suffolk.

Almost a year after construction commenced, the nuclear power station at Sizewell in Suffolk is beginning to take shape. Scores of cranes tower over the massive building site, as concrete foundations and internal structures continue to be laid. The main reactor building is also still under construction, with workers busy fitting one of the eight large boiler units.

Background Information

The Sizewell Nuclear Power Station was eventually commissioned in 1966. Now referred to as 'Sizewell A', it was decommissioned in 2006 and replaced by 'Sizewell B', which was itself commissioned in 1995.
