Anglia Television interview with English actress, singer-songwriter and comedienne Joyce Grenfell in attendance at the Kings Lynn festival.

Appearing at Kings Lynn festival in the guise of singer-songwriter, she informs of her enthusiasm for performing at festivals in general, but also comments on the particular delights of attending a festival in East Anglia owing to her enjoyment of the landscape. Responding to enquiries of the possibility of future stage and screen appearances, she informs her busy overseas touring schedule and current involvement as part of a “committee” prevents her; of course referring to being a member of the famous “Pilkington Committee“ on broadcasting. She also professes her boredom at being typecast as ‘games mistress’, referring to her role in the popular ‘St Trinians’ motion picture comedies. Finally, Grenfell is asked to recall a humorous anecdote taken from her time spent entertaining British soldiers overseas during World War II.
