Felixstowe Ferry
1936 , Felixstowe (Suffolk)
Cat no. 8061
Home footage recorded in Dufaycolor, featuring coastal activity at Felixstowe, in particular of the sailing boats close to the shore.
Home footage of Felixstowe, recorded in Dufaycolor, and focusing on the activity of young boys playing on and near to the sailing boats moored on the beach, and also of the many sailing boats on the water. A sweeping shot of the many visitors seated on the beach looking out towards the sailing boats. At a beach chalet, a woman stands with a young boy, both wear bathing attire. A young boy and girl find it difficult to manoeuvre their sailing boat on the water, getting caught in the ropes of a neighbouring and much larger boat [perhaps a foot ferry]. A second shot of the beach chalet, followed by final landscape shots of the deserted seaside, save for boats resting on the water, or moored on the shore.
