Elm Hill
1958 - 1980 , Norwich (Norfolk)
Cat no. 6207
Views of Norwich's historic Elm Street.
A close-up of a street sign reveals the film's location, the historic Elm Hill, a cobbled lane lined with Tudor buildings in the heart of Norwich. A study of the eponymous elm tree, which stands in the little square, is accompanied by views of some of the lane's Tudor architecture. A man in a suit walks up Elm Hill, and around the corner and into the square, walking past the flowering windowsills and baskets of No. 19. After further views of No. 19 and its surrounds, the film concludes with a shot looking into one of the adjacent courtyards, with a sign revealing it as home to the Elm Hill School of Ballet.
